It's in the Details

One of the things I enjoy most is looking for the beauty in the details of people and events....

A celebration of Families

The holiday season gave me the opportunity to meet and photograph many families.
Each shoot presented different challenges and rewards.  Here are some of my favorite moments.

A Day with the Butterflies

We recently ventured to the Butterfly Pavilion outside of Denver.  As we are knee-deep in Winter break from school it was a great way to get out and about.  While it did feel a bit like cheating to have my subjects so close and confined, I did enjoy the opportunity to take some pictures of these beautiful insects.

Celebrating the holiday with family

I am not what most people would call "outdoorsy."  It is for this reason that my children are lucky that their father is.  Growing up in Arkansas he is a hunter, fisherman, camper and lover of the cold.  It is my hope that this will create well rounded children who appreciate both camping and a nice day at home!

Over the holiday we had the chance to go visit our family who live in Arkansas.  I was thrilled to have the chance to photograph both beautiful people and beautiful scenery.

Let me introduce you to the inspiration for the work I now do.  With a daughter age 6 and a son age 2 there is no shortage of moments that I want to freeze in time to hold onto.

In a previous life I worked in the worlds of public affairs and government.  I've now decided to pursue something that allows me to create, work with great people, and enjoy what I do every day.

Please check back often as I share with you my adventure and the people I have the pleasure to meet.
